Travelling to Morocco in the spring means the chance to see the magnificent contrast of the dusty red desert against the snowy peaks of the Atlas Mountains. The temperatures have not yet reached the peaks of the summer, and in the mountains it’s particularly pleasant for exploring, with springtime flowers flanking the trails and crisp, clear skies. With cooler temperatures throughout April, walking in Italy will be a breeze. April marks the start of the dry season in Madagascar, making it an ideal time to visit this African island country. Travel to the 'Lost Continent' and lose youreslf in spectacular scenery - think rich rainforests, golden beaches, cactus-strewn planes - on our Madagascar wildlife tour. April marks the start of Songkran celebrations in Thailand. The locals celebrate the Thai new year with temple visits, buddha statue cleansing and, perhaps most infamously, the most entertaining water fights you can imagine! Locals and tourists join the fun by splashing water over each other, as water symbolises the washing away of bad luck. While our Thailand tours don't include any Songkran participation, an April departure means you'll likely spot the festivities at some point! April is also another great time to visit Thailand as a family - whether that's an active jungle and beach adventure or combining Vietnam and Cambodia into your southeast Asian odyssey.
